The Adelaide Accordion Orchestra (previously known as Elite Accordion Group) was formed as part of the Adelaide German Club in the mid 1900s.

The music is arranged in up to 5 parts and practised with great passion by our 9 members at weekly Tuesday evening practices.

Under Carlo’s guidance the repertoire of the Orchestra has been broadened to encompass Traditional Music from Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Holland and Spain; Dance Music from various countries around the world; Tangos and Latin American rhythms; Classical and Semi-Classical Music and Modern Popular Music from countries around the world between 1960s and 1990s.

Over the years the Orchestra has played and continues to play at many different events and venues like

  • German Festivals: Schuetzenfest, Prantzing Pony Oktoberfest in Adelaide Hills, German Fest in Horsham/Victoria 

  • Italian festivals: St. Gabriels Feast at the Monastery and Carnivale

  • Private functions: Weddings and Birthday parties

  • Venues like Pleasant afternoon concert Walkerville Rotary, Seniors in Harmony, Wheatsheaf Thebarton, Adelaide Music Club, Penny Hill Winery etc.
